## 1. What Redd Processes
### Content you choose to open
– URLs, clipboard text, and files (for example PDF/ePub/text) you choose to load.
– Shared links sent to Redd from other apps (including the iOS Share Extension and Android share intents).
### App preferences and reading data (stored on your device)
– Reader settings (for example speed, font size, theme, highlight color).
– Reading library/history entries and progress.
– Browser preferences (for example preferred start page), browser bookmarks, and browser tutorial state.
### What we do not collect on our servers
– Your reading content.
– Your browsing history inside the in-app browser.
– Personal data for analytics or advertising.
## 2. In-App Browser and Reader Mode
– On iOS, Redd’s in-app browser uses Apple’s WebKit (`WKWebView`).
– On Android, Redd uses Android System WebView.
– When you visit a website, that website may receive network data such as your IP address, user agent, and standard web request metadata, and may place its own cookies or trackers under its own privacy policy.
– Reader Mode fetches page content directly from the URL you request so content can be parsed for reading.
## 3. How We Use Information
We use locally stored information to:
– Provide core app features.
– Save your preferences and reading progress.
– Enable browser features such as bookmarks and preferred start page.
## 4. Where Data Is Stored
– App data is stored locally on your device (for example via on-device app storage).
– Data shared through the iOS Share Extension is passed to the app via the app group container on your device.
– We do not sell your personal information.
## 5. Third-Party Services
– **Apple App Store** and **Google Play** handle app distribution, billing (if used), and store-managed transactions under their own policies.
– Websites you open in the in-app browser are third-party services and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
## 6. Data Retention
– Local app data remains on your device until you remove it in-app or uninstall the App.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
Redd is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
